Shelter of Peace Visits the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Center in Kingston, New York

On Thursday, July 19, the core members of Shelter of Peace (RoseAnn, Maryann, Kevin and myself – George was in a meeting at the Governor’s office doing what he does best, advocating for Runaway and Homeless Youth) had a great meeting with Vanessa Shelmandine, the Project Director of the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center, to speak not only about the needs of Homeless Youth in our city, but throughout our State.  We viewed the In The Life Media segment “A Day In Our Shoes” which depicts the mission of Shelter of Peace.  I highly recommend that you view this short segment.

Since Kevin is a resident up in the Hudson Valley, he is going to work together with The Center and enlist local religious organizations to participate in Shelter of Peace.
